| Finding a Boxer Puppy | ||||
|
The BEST place to meet breeders is at a dog show. They LOVE to talk about their dogs, and if you approach them at an appropriate time, they would be happy to speak with you. To find a list of Dog Shows in your area go to the following links: Dog Shows in Massachusetts Another wonderful alternative is "rescue". Ask a breeder how you can help rescue a Boxer! See below for more information!! The Middlesex Boxer Club has two delegates, Ellen Bradley and Kathy Frohock that belong to the national Purebred Dog Breeders Referral Service. These delegates will have information from club members about recent litters. If there are any puppies available, you will be given email addresses or phone numbers to contact them. It will be up to the puppy seekers however, to evaluate the puppies, as the club's delegates are not able to endorse or screen the individual breeders or their litters. Feel free to contact either Kathy or Ellen by clicking on their email address below: |

It is a time for new puppies to get together and have some interactive playtime with other breeds. It is a necessary class to take before going on to some of the more specialized training programs such as Agility or Junior handling. Check your local papers or animal shelters to find out times and locations of such programs taking place in your area. And don't forget to check out the Middlesex Boxer Club Events schedule and come to one of our four seasonal events. Here is the American Boxer Club's page regarding the specific health tests that should be performed on all dogs before they are bred. We suggest looking up these diseases and reading about them as much as you can. |
